The Basic School
Lieutenant Colonel Jesse R. Simoneau

Lieutenant Colonel Simoneau currently serves as the Executive Officer of The Basic School. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1996 as an electro-optical ordnance repairer and served as a Marine Security Guard in Berlin, Germany, Tel Aviv, Israel and Ankara, Turkey before being selected for the Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Education Program in 2003. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant on 26 May 2006.  After completing the Basic School and Logistics Officers Course he was assigned as the S-4A for 3rd Bn 2nd Marines. From October 2007 to May 2008 he deployed to Al Qaim, Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 06-08.2. In June of 2008 he was promoted to First Lieutenant and assigned as the Motor Transport Officer. In May 2009 he deployed with Battalion Landing Team 3/2 as part of the 22nd MEU. In January 2010 he deployed to Haiti as the Motor Transport Officer and H&S Company Commander in support of Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE.

In May of 2010 First Lieutenant Simoneau reported to Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command to serve as an Information Operations officer. He was promoted to Captain in August 2010 and in June 2011 joined 1st Marine Raider Battalion as the Information Operations officer. In January 2012 he deployed to Herat, Afghanistan as part of Special Operations Task Force-81 in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

From 2013 to 2017 Captain Simoneau served as the District Logistics Officer for the 12th Marine Corps District. From 2017 to 2018 Major Simoneau was assigned as the Chief of Staff, Marine Forces Division, US Military Training Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2018 Major Simoneau reported to 1st Transportation Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, where he served as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer. From October 2020 to November 2021 he served as the Logistics Combat Element OIC for the Special Purpose MAGTF, Crisis Response, Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC), deploying to Al Jabr, Kuwait. In 2021 Maj Simoneau reported to the Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics where he served as the Logistics IT Section Head and Deputy Branch Head.

Lieutenant Colonel Simoneau holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Northeastern University and a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Diego.
