U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Lt. Jordan Mahotiere, a student with Company F, The Basic School, provides suppressive fire during a platoon attack at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Feb. 25, 2026. The purpose of the simulated platoon attacks was to introduce Marines to the fundamentals of Military Operations on Urban Terrain training, evaluate their leadership in high-stress environments, and develop them into confident, provisional rifle platoon commanders.
