MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va - Marines with The Basic School (TBS) Shooting Team, Training Command, participate in a marksmanship training evolution at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Jan 23, 2026. The TBS Shooting Team develops officers’ advanced rifle and pistol proficiency while reinforcing the fundamentals of combat marksmanship, weapons safety, and disciplined fire control. The program builds confidence in weapons handling and decision-making under pressure, preparing lieutenants to effectively train and lead Marines in small-arms employment across operational environments. The team mirrors the standards and competitive spirit of the Marine Corps Shooting Team by promoting excellence in shooting, coaching, and lethality at the unit level.
